Eliza Barnea is a development professional with extensive expertise in the green transition - social inclusion nexus, focusing on advancing a just transition, facilitating communities participation in the green transition and associated decision making. Her experience spans roles in academia, NGOs, IFI, or political foundations, having worked closely with the Romanian government at all levels, as well as with EU institutions. In the past she has worked on green job market transitions, local energy solutions and participatory governance. She is part of the EU Just Transition Expert Network, JTPeers Expert Database. She has a postgraduate diploma in Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies from KU Leuven, Belgium.
