Since February 1, 2014, I have been the director of Danish Cyclists’ Federation. My main task is to engender greater traffic safety, accessibility, comfort, and richness of experience for people riding bicycles in their everyday life and leisure time. I work to get more people on bicycles for the benefit of public health, nature and the environment. In working to insure that the bicycle is considered an equal means of transportation and creating greater intermodality, I hope at last to secure that all destinations can be reached by bicycle – without detours.
I was born November 19, 1963 on Bornholm, Denmark, with a Danish mother and a Dutch father. I live with my husband, landscape architect Jacob Kamp, on a small farm in Odsherred, Denmark.
