Giovanni Caudo (Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, 1964). Full Professor in Urban Planning at Rome Tre University, Architecture Department. His main research activities concern the contemporary urban condition, affordable housing, and research on urban contexts in the process of transformation and reuse of heritage. He to carry researched specific aspects of these issues as OpenHeritage (Horizon 2020), SOPHIA (Horizon 2020) and “Territori post-metropolitani come forme emergenti: le sfide della sostenibilità, abitabilità e governabilità” (PRIN). He is also interested in aspects of the process of selecting a plan for implementation and designing cities and the urban environment. In 2008, he worked to set up the Italian Pavilion of the X Venice Biennale of Architecture on the topics “housing Italy”. He was Commissioner of Urban Planning in Rome administration from July 2013 to October 2015. Since 2018 at 2021 he are President of the Municipality of Rome Montesacro.
