Miguel Rodrigues, technology evangelist, visionary, speaker, advanced & digital marketing expert and entrepreneur, co founder on north of Portugal of the Planet Valley concept for a smart City from scratch, between 2006 an 2010, was on the core team that engage the major tech companies world wide, on a multinational team of experts on Smart Cities theme, as Executive Vice President for Marketing, he have been in daily contact with the visionaries of companies as Microsoft, Cisco, Philips, Siemens, Schneider, Hitachi, Accenture, Deloit, Cognizant and much other companies partnering on the design of the concept, providing a strong expertise for international interactions, that become extremely relevant for the following years until today Moving to Brazil on 2012 , with objective to create bridge projects in Brazilian cities with European Technologic Companies, Cities and Experts, using the technology exchange as the right tool to accelerate and inspire city leaders to implement the necessary smart cities initiatives. Founder in Sao Paulo of several technologic startups, Miguel Rodrigues as CEO have on MtoM Consulting the company that is leading multiple Advanced Marketing Projects, recreating IoT-Internet of Things Technologies, as Smart Mall, Smart Retail, Smart Zoo, Smart Botanic Garden, Smart School, and recently awarded as one the six best Innovative Ideas on World Smart City Congress in Barcelona 2015, with Smart Children Hospital, where dense sensor network are the base for multiple Apps providing services, education and entertainment for users through immersive experiences of Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Image Recognition amongst other experiences, generating and processing huge amounts of data on a IoT environment. Co-creator on 2016, +citykids emergency educational platform for 3800 children at Zaatary Syrian Refugee Camp in Jordan, where IoT is the base for the digital daily workshops over 155 days at school environment in the Camp, project supported by Her Excellency Queen of Sweden and His Excellency Emir of Kuwait, and as manager in the field, coordinating a international Consortium of two large Universities in Jordan and world wide experts on 34 relevant and universal weekly themes. In 2016 as CEO and Funder of Expo Cities2020, with engagement of State Government as a large innovative Smart Cities initiative that impacts on major cities of Sao Paulo State in Brazil, engaging international experts, technologic companies and international institutions related with smart cities on the time, on a hybrid event that combines virtual permanent exhibition over 12 months, 24h a day and acceded form any place in the world, this project was in result of almost a decade of involvement on Smart and IoT projects, in Europe and middle East. On 2017 develop several projects partnering with State Government of Sao Paulo, and UK Embassy over UK TI programs , with two major projects with Metropolitan Region of Baixada Santista , and several UK Tech companies to Apply for grants, those projects have been focused on Sustainability, Mobility, Natural Resources. Recently invited as Ambassador for the LIVES Expo Summit Smart Cities Event, responsible to promote the event in São Paulo attracting exhibitors for the event, but more important, to collect word wide attention and engagement , with European Organizations that can help on the major objective, to give a up on the technologic side of the event, catching experts for key notes, or tech companies interested to participate, but also designing and creating side events to engage the Mayors of more than 200 cities of the State, creating a Award for Smart Cities initiatives. This event will take place on SET 28 to 30 2022 n the first edition, on Foz do Iguaçu City, and the contribution already bring the event for a very high level, in result of the work of Miguel Rodrigues in Sao Paulo and Europe and it´s large knowledge of the market , strong connections with government institutions, and international experts.
