Surena Shrestha is an architect and urban planner by training, with years of experience in design conceptualization, planning, development and spatial analysis, stakeholder management and networking, and community engagement. She is a feminist and activist, an artist and urban professional, passionate about any and all issues related to sustainability, social justice, gendered rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, and equitability in urban planning and development. She believes in the idea of co-creation and collaboration in city designing, and is fascinated by processes that embrace those specific ideologies. In her free time, Surena enjoys printmaking and running her own printmaking business that she started mid 2021 as an ode to her South Asian heritage
