Learning from Hamburg-Ottensen: Hands-on insights from a traffic experiment

In the summer of 2019, the Altona district office carried out a traffic experiment as a so-called ‘temporary strolling district’. The plan: block the shopping streets in the district center largely for cars for half a year and observe what people do with the space gained.
